What is Reformer Pilates? 

Reformer Pilates is a full-body workout performed on a spring-based machine designed to build strength, mobility, and core stability through controlled, low-impact movements. 

Do I need any experience to use the Reformer? 

No experience is required. Your instructor will walk you through machine set-up, spring selection, and how to move safely throughout class. 

I'm a beginner. What class should I book? 

Reformer Flow and Align are ideal for beginners. These formats move at a comfortable pace and focus on technique, foundational exercises, and proper alignment. 

Do I need grip socks for Reformer classes? 

Yes. Grip socks are required for safety and hygiene. They can be purchased in-studio and reused for future classes. 

Is Reformer Pilates harder than Mat Pilates? 

Both styles offer challenges in different ways. The Reformer adds spring resistance and a moving carriage, which can increase intensity. However, both Reformer and Mat can be modified for any level. 

Can the Reformer be adjusted for my height or mobility level? 

Yes. The machine is fully adjustable to accommodate different body types, heights, and mobility needs. Your instructor will assist with proper set-up. 

How many people are in a Reformer class? 

Classes are capped at 10 participants to ensure attention to form and a supportive environment. 

How many classes should I take before joining an advanced class?

We recommend completing around 10 Reformer classes to build familiarity with the machine and movement patterns before advancing.
